Have been coming for many years. Always top notch productions and theatrical talent. Some of the best Shakespeare I've ever seen has been here (Macbeth reset in tribal Afghanistan for one of many). I almost always go to productions in the small outside ampitheater with...More

Living in Boulder, CO, as theatre fans, my family has been attending CSF productions for years. Even performances we don't prefer are typically great shows--and most performances here are fantastic in one way or another (e.g., some really strong actors, interesting interpretations, plays we haven't...More

What a treat to watch a Shakespeare play in an open-air amphitheater in the middle of UC Boulder. It was a great evening out. Highly recommend adding it to your trip!

I am a Shakespeare fan. I usually see 4 or 5 productions around the country each year. I was very pleased to attend my first show at the Colorado Shakespeare Company. An excellent cast graced the stage of the comfortable outdoor theater for a production...More

It's been on my bucket list for years to attend a Colorado Shakespeare Festival performance. Finally got to Boulder during the season and saw this performance. It was lovely! The venue is ideal. Everyone should attend one of their shows!

Just saw the 3rd of 4 plays this season and they’re so much better than last year. In particular, do not miss Cyrano. It was fantastic! The language, the writing, the story, and the acting (in particular Scott Coopwood, but the entire ensemble) were excellent....More

If you visit or live in Boulder & regardless of age, it would be sinful to miss any production at this quality professional theater. Competently performed, the current production of Love's Labour's Lost is charming, colorful & provocative & that it's performed beneath vast Colorado...More

Sorry, but I cannot recommend the performances at CSF. The actors look lost on stage, with no clear sense of purpose and story. This can only be a result of direction, or more precisely, lack thereof. Save your money and hours on this planet for...More

The CU Shakespeare Festival performance of "Taming of the Shrew" was wonderful. The setting in Little Italy was interesting, and the use of the original speech went off very well. The cast did an excellent job, under difficult and often wet and slippery conditions. We...More
