A beautiful spot for hiking near Boulder. The trail is rough in places and a good pair of shoes or boots are recommended. If you are not used to the altitude (around 5, 800 - 6,100 ft) walking may leave you breathless as it did...More

Okay, so this is such a beautiful hike. We did flatiron one and two on day one and it was amazing. Wear proper hiking shoes as its quite rocky and a good steep climb. Must Do in Boulder

We stayed a few blocks away from the Flatirons and enjoyed an early morning hike. Friendly hikers with their four-legged friends, locals, and visitors. Beautiful scenery and good trails. It was quite warm when we visited but overall a great hike!

I have the honor of living here so this was not a visit ;) If you haven't been you are missing out. Great hiking and beautiful scenery.

Parking crazy. Too many people to enjoy paths & outdoors. Don't attempt dangerous Flagstaff Road. Bikers every where in hairpin curves.

There are a lot of different trails to try. Particularly lovely with the wildflowers in bloom. Great view of Boulder.

Loved the entry to this trail. It eases its way up through some foothills before truly becoming a hike over rocks and boulders. The craziest looking portion is when you have to zig zag over the landslide area! You almost don't see th path through...More

We were there much later than April when the weather was very warm and all the walks were available. Looking at the answers from other contributors it could be a problem or you may strike lucky. Sorry can't be helpful.

The main trails start at Chautauqua on the south end of town. I'm not sure how close a city bus can get you there but you would take Broadway south to 9th street and head west on 9th. You'd run right into it. It's only... More

As stated in the previous responses, you can hike the trails around Boulder in the winter but it is likely you will find the trails covered in places with snow and ice. There is a lot of foot traffic and the trails are... More
