Well worth an hour or two while you're in Boulder. Great for those interested in fossils or dinosaurs, or early American peoples (Clovis peoples). It's small but definitely interesting and worth a visit.

If you’re looking for an exciting museum (oxymoron perhaps?) this probably isn’t the place for you. The Colorado University’s Museum of Natural History has a laid back atmosphere more suited to the feeling of a library than a busy museum. It is a lower budget...More

The University of Colorado’s museum of natural history is a gem located in the heart of the university campus. With only four exhibits there is no denying the museum is small, but what it lacks in size it makes up for with kind tour guides...More

Admission is free, there is a child touch area (with puppet stage and Adobe-like home. There are other "please touch" areas scattered throughout the other exhibits. Temporary exhibit on caterpillars and butterflies, permanent exhibits on fossils, taxidermy, native peoples (vases, baskets, tools) and more.
