The Boulder History Museum displays exhibits on the early history of Boulder, including the award winning exhibit, Chief Niwot ~ Legend and Legacy and Storymakers, an exhibit about the early history of Boulder. The Museum is currently open by appointment only.

Nice but small. Very nice reception person. Focus is on Native American heritage and adverse effects from the coming of the miners, farmers and military. Many pictures, fewer displays. Interesting and it is a reasonable value.

Right now this is in an old historic home which added to the History of Boulder. We learned of the local history from the exhibit and then the staff were friendly and informative regarding the house itself. However, the museum is moving at some point...More

Boulder History Museum is a great small town history museum and is a must visit if you are traveling to or the surrounding Boulder area. I you have kids, you can enjoy Beach Park, a small park with playground next to the museum.

beautiful old home in boulder, one of the oldest and very well kept. small exhibit space, they are moving in the next year or so to a large space downtown. great exhibit on chief niwot.
