awesome on a hot day

worth the trek to check out this and the drive up the mountain to Nederland and Eldora. Many people raft here on the hot days, like a beach in the mountains

Many Boulder visitors don't venture to this state park, just a 3 minute drive south of Boulder, but it is worth every penny of your $8 to drive through. A river, picnic area, high canyon walls, rock climbers, and all kinds of hiking from easy to south facing/warm longer hikes over to Walker Ranch, another hidden gem outside of town.

Beautiful views. Came here with my four year old. She enjoyed walking around here. Coolest part is we saw two people rock climbing. I do not recall the cost but you do have to pay to park.

Wasn't worth it. Free Friday on Black Friday. Parking crush packed with people. This isn't enjoyment of the outdoors. We left and went to Boulder Open Space.

Nice unique views of some red but mostly just giant rock formations. Was a little challenging to get to with GPS. Cost $8 to drive in and park. $3 if you walk in. Trip Advisor picture with waterfall a bit misleading. Many hiking trails if you have the time.

I have been climbing here since the early '80s. It continues to be one of the top climbing areas in the States. Hard to beat running up a climb after work in this wonderful setting.

We got there around 2:30 pm, so parking wasn't an issue. It was exciting to see some rock climbers and from where we parked, there are some pretty brooks and a small waterfall. The hike up Rattlesnake Gulch was very steep at times. We weren't in a rush, so we took our time and made sure to drink lots of... More

The rock climbers are dedicated and you can get some oh-wow moments watching. The pool is must-visit, ideally early in the day as it's popular. And it's always cold because this water is fresh out of the mountain--a very special experience versus most pools whose water has been there for many months. That immersion is well worth it. And drink... More

Absolutely stunning hikes along rushing water with views of daredevil rock-climbers. Many trail-heads with varying degrees of difficulty available. We drove through the weird little town up to the park entrance and started from there. Love this park.

We were there early on a weekday so parking was no issue whatsoever, and we saw very few people along our way. The rattlesnake gulch hike is absolutely beautiful. Good moderate hike with a pretty good incline at times but nothing technical and no scary ledges, etc. Altitude is the biggest factor if you've just arrived in CO. Hydrate, pace... More
