Reserve in advance

I hear it is great, but we missed the booking window, which is days in advance. I add this review only to say that it would have helped to see this before getting there prior to tour start time and missing a chance (they are not super flexible).

Perfect for a science lover

I was looking for something to do with my friend while she was in town and I stumbled upon NOAA's tour. While it wasn't the easiest tour to be a part of, I actually didn't get the day I wanted because it was booked, I was really grateful I took the day that was available because it ended up being a fantastic experience. Sarah V was a fabulous tour guide, knowledgeable about so many different aspects of the science going on in the building. She made the science easy to understand for any level and kept everyone on our tour, old and young, engaged. I know she doesn't do tours often so I would suggest you recommend her if possible. The science coming out of this building is impressive and made me feel proud the public funds the type of research they do. I learned so much and my friend said it was the best trip she's had to Colorado.

Great free tour on Tuesday afternoon

Many wonderful things are done here. Air quality, climate change, stratospheric ozone, radiation, aerosol, weather forecasting, renewable energy, data archiving research are showcased. Science on a sphere show is a must. See a weather forecasting office in active. Kids, adults, and retired will enjoy the tour. And it’s free.

NOAA's Earth System lab is a great place to bring kids. It's free and so many of the exhibits are interactive. It's also really interesting and informative. I hope all of you who go take things to heart regarding climate change and the environment.

It is a thing

The medicine wheel I spoke of earlier has been desecrated. The "I was here" stones have been removed. And so many things more, that were left there by the People; No problem; go to the west of the building, and you will see the gateway to the life of the mountains. peace
Be the first; it's a beauty; in front of your face, all this time; go see; it is of great beauty, and willl speak to you

Nice interactive exhibits

Beautiful setting against the Flatirons! We enjoyed the interactive exhibits. It was not as large as we expected and only took an hour or so to see. Worth your time.

fun exhibits, nice trail, great views
Sep. 2017 • Family
We stopped here while we were in Boulder. The exhibits were well done and kids would love them. The views were great. We went on the short nature trail and were impressed at the other trails that were available. We were there less than an hour, so this is not a long stop, but, we enjoyed it. We would have appreciated some geographical information about the mountains and other things we were seeing, but, overall, though it was a nice stop.
