I loved this park, the trails branch off to so many other trails, I was able to see some wildlife, its was such a beautiful place. It was also really nicely laid out with signs that prevented me from getting turned around or lost.

The hiking in Chautauqua Park is excellent. It is worth the effort to hike up to the Flatirons. Throughout this park you will be rewarded with beautiful views, clean air, and well marked hiking trails.

We had exceptionally beautiful weather and the trails were very well marked. Other hikers were very friendly, and all the dogs that I saw were leashed. It is very well located. There are cabins, a tennis court. There is also an auditorium for gatherings I assume. I think the houses are for rent but some might be owned as a... More

If you're in Boulder, you owe it to yourself to visit this gorgeous park at the foot of the spectacular Flatiron Mountains. A really nice feature is that the park has a range of hiking trails from very easy to very challenging. So regardless of whether you have limited mobility or are a serious rock climber, you'll find somewhere in... More

Chautauqua is the entrance to a vast expanse of the Boulder Mountain Parks system. it is steeped in history from the days before cars when folks from Texas bought the property for a summer getaway from the Texas heat. All the cabins, for the most part, are over 100 years old. A must-see spot in Boulder. Parking is nothing less... More

You don't get vistas like this back east. Wow, and right out your door when staying in Boulder. Folks in Boulder love their dogs, and there are many parks with on-leash and off-leash areas. Seems the dogs enjoy the excursion as much as the people.

We love visiting Chautauqua - the grounds are beautiful and there are great trails for hiking. The dining hall is a great spot for eating with lovely scenery, but the restaurant's food and service are both inconsistent.

Be prepared to hunt for a parking space! Charming area. Nice walking paths to Flatirons. Dog friendly, but keep them leashed and close by.
