I have visited this farm with my small children for the past few years and it’s always been a great escape out of the big bustling city.
I recently visited for the first time since the virus pandemic and was surprised and saddened to see that the farm has deteriorated significantly since the last time I went there.
Most of the paddocks are overgrown and very untidy, and quite a few of the animal enclosures can do with a good and thorough clean!
The number of animals on display also seems to have been reduced greatly! Such a shame because this has always been one of my favourite places to come to. Hope they can pop their game or I probably won’t make an effort to return soon.

My wife and I brought our young niece here to see the animals in this farm. She got excited seeing the animals and playing with some of them.

It is nice to have a place like this in the city. We checked the weather forecast before coming and the weather turned out to be fantastic.

We attended the Collingwood Children’s Farm as a family outing today and it exceeded our expectations. My children ages 4 and 5 enjoyed the interactive experience.

We got to brush the cows, hold and pat the guinea pigs and then go on the feeding walking. On the feeding walk, the kids participated in feeding chickens, ducks, pigs, goats and sheep. All the food was supplied by the farm.

There is a café on the premise where you can purchase drinks and food, or you can bring a picnic lunch.

I think younger and older kids will enjoy the experience too, this time we found that our kids were the ideal age.

This is a great value activity for the kids. If you have the small ideas app or entertainment book you can get a further discount.

This farm allows children to get close to animals and feed them, amongst other activities. Perfect for a morning of fun. There is also a small cafe onsite.

Such a great place to take the kids and let them enjoy such beautiful farm animals and more right in the city. The staff are very helpful, there is plenty of space to sit and eat, explore and for the animals to be seen. Good activities for the kids to get involved in to like feeding the animals, watching the cows get milked, petting the guinea pigs and more. Great onsite cafe too which does good coffee and decent food. Worth a visit and won't break the bank

The farm is a great opportunity to immerse yourself in the outdoors. All the animals appeared very happy and well looked after. The farmers market is great and I look forward to visiting again.

The farm itself is very small and can be covered in 20mins. Exciting place for kids, may be not for adults. Unless you come here on Farmers Market days where there are lots of stalls selling various stuff including chocolates, ice creams, fruits, vegetables etc. Its a great experience to have for city folks where we are more used to supermarkets. My family and I had a fun half-day here.

The Collingwood Children Farm is not far from Melbourne City and right next to the farm is a nice Church ground. The farm has chickens running around and it is very interactive for kids to interact with the chicks.
Goats and Sheeps are very friendly and the farm is well maintained.

My rating of average was boosted up only by the fact that the cafe was quite nice, food looked great although only minuscule coffees to be had...
the “farm” element was none existent, few chickens, couple sleeping goats and pigs, and some lovely cows but apparently impossible to actually get to the cows without walking an absolute country mile as access was closed off from the main farm area... it was a nice green area, cafe was really nice but that’s really it.... we go to Bundoora farm every now and then and in contrast, Collingwood children’s farm sucked!!
