So it was summer and my wife and I were walking around the down town area and checked out the local shops and bars. We had a great time and now we always stop there during any road trips

We stopped for gas on our way to Reno for National Bowling. What a cute little town with a rich history. Fun stop on the way, we have been through several times never realizing there were so many things to see and do

If you have the time it is worth the stroll down the Miner street historic district. It has interesting shops as well as plaques explaining what the buildings formerly were in past eras.

Nice shops, good people. Something for everyone. Sundays not all shops are open. Great old town feeling, good vibe.

This small town has surprisingly well preserved historic district, well taken care of, with a lot of interpretive information posted. Very interesting and looks good on pictures!

There are historical facts posted on the front of the building. You can imagine want it was like in the 1850's.
