V Marketplace is the original icon of specialty retail in northern California's wine country. One of the first wineries in the Napa Valley, Groezinger Winery was built in 1870 and continued operating as a winery until 1955. This lovely old brick building was destined to be sold and torn down for the price of its bricks, but a small group of visionaries purchased it and lovingly restored the building and it now houses specialty shops, art galleries and three restaurants including Emmy-award winning Chef Michael Chiarello's fabulous and much touted rustic farm-to-table Italian cuisine restaurant Bottega. NapaStyle offers a wine tasting bar and V Wine Cellar is one of the most complete wine cellars of the Napa Valley. V Wine Cellar offers an inviting wine environment that will please novices and aficionados alike with a choice of a wine bar or a cozy lounge where guests can savor and experience the world of wine with expert advice from a knowledgeable staff. V Marketplace is home to Napa Valley's original hot air balloon company which launches daily, weather permitting from the property. V Marketplace is Napa Valley's most beautiful and inviting specialty retail complex located in the world renowned epicurean hamlet of Yountville, surrounded by lush picnic gardens, beautiful water features and meandering cobblestone, special events and entertainment are scheduled year round.

We were looking forward to our visit to the V Marketplace. It is a restored building with an interesting history but unfortunately, the shops were not that special. The building is showing a little wear and tear with its beat up narrow wooden stairs (not sure if there was an elevator there) but maybe that look is intentional. There are... More

It's quite a fascinating place to visit. The old brick structure has a host of stalls inside more in the fashion of up-market boutiques, artist studios, gourmet foods, wine tastings and fine dining. One can walk through marveling at the different kinds of goods on display and pick up something that might catch one's fancy. There is the lovely shop-Montecristi... More

Stopped by after brunch at a local eatery. Not many stores to choose from but it was a nice short stop. A visit to Koller chocolates is a must - great for souvenir gifts, and some for you too.

Go for the high end chocolate. Sushi looking chocolate! Don't look at price, just buy. Nice wine, clothing and art shops too. Some restaurant construction underway. Worth a stop.

This is a nice little market place to wander around if you are getting tired of the winery trail thing.

If you're driving and want to emerge yourself in the complete wine experience, don't miss this shopping area, Beringer Winery and Old Downtown Calistoga. The dozens of shops in this beautiful, old timber-framed 1870's building are a treat and great place to find art, decor and gifts related to the area's wine making. If you grought your pickup or large... More

Whenever I have people visiting from out of town, V Marketplace is one of the places I always take them to. There are lots of shops to visit and great food to taste, whether it's at a nearby restaurant or at the chocolate shop in the main building. I love to play tourist and come here.

I went shopping at V Marketplace. I usually do a fair amount of shopping at Napa Style (Michael Chiarelllo place). They were already doing 70 per cent off sales in early December. The amount of goods was limited from what is usually available for purchase in December. I did go to Koller Chocolate - amazing colorful chocolate and purchased some... More

V Marketplace is not a place to go if you want some chain store. All of the outlets are boutiques with lots of very interesting things to offer. A lot of the items are, not unsurprisingly, wine related. My wife loved this place.

A two-story collection of shops in an historic building that used to be a winery, on the main drag in Yountville. A nice variety of retailers selling clothing, home goods, local products, linens, as well as Kollar Chocolates, and a wine shop. Very friendly folks, and a pleasant way to spend the afternoon.
