Have seen many plays over the course of four years. All were excellent! It is very hard to hear the actors since they don't use microphones in this venue. I hear that has changed and I would then give this venue a 5 star rating. Can't wait to see their next production!

We went here for the first time, and we will return, I'm sure. We saw Fleetwood Mask, and they sounded great. We sat in the Balcony on padded bench seats. Row "S" has the widest seats, and great visibility. They have a cash snack bar that serves a variety of munchies, and alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks.. There is an elevator,... More

We have enjoyed the evenings we have spent here. We come out saying we need to do that again. The seats below are regular theater seats on the other hand the balcony consists of benches with a thin seat cushion. We have sat in both areas and liked them both. Sound and visibility is good in both sections. I'm happy... More

We have been to the Woodland Opera House many times. In fact we used to have season tickets. It's laudable that Woodland has a community theater group and historic venue. This time we came for A Christmas Story. They did a great job especially the Old Man and narrator/Adult Ralphie. We could hear almost every actor even though we were... More

We attended a showing of silent movies with a pianist playing the piano. Fantastic experience. This place takes you back in time. I plan on attending other productions. Great Experience!

The Woodland Opera House is a special place.... first Opera house in CA, I believe... it's very original and authentic and it's like stepping back into time when you enter... You can just imagine watching performances there 100 years ago. The curators keep it in great condition. The performances are delightful however, if you are looking for serious plays and... More

The play Footloose is performed in an old Woodland Opera House. We watched this modern day play in an old theater with padded seats and carpet on the floor. Love how the city has built a night life around this theater. They have several plays a year performed by young acting students. A good experience for them and the audience... More

We went to Woodland Opera House. It is on Main Street The current opera house was built in 1895-1896. It was the first opera house for the Sacramento Area. It was built by David Hershey. There are plays, music, and other events held at the Opera House. They have major plays called Main Stage. For example, shows planned include for... More

We have attended many productions in this beautiful and historic building. Each time we have been amazed at the high caliber performances! This is a small venue and every seat is a GREAT seat!
