We purchased a groupon with skiing for two with a two night stay at Badger Pass. Stayed Dec 22nd and 23rd. The rooms are small, no closet, bathroom is communal around the corner. But it was fun. No computers and no wifi, no TV. But downstairs, fireplace, piano and there is la hotel restaura nt. Its close proximity to Yosemite... More

This hotel has many historic photos and the early days of Yosemite can be reviewed in pictures. There is a golf course and golf shop open in the summer we hope to play next year.

It is a nice experience. The only drawback is that there are not bathroom facilities in the original building. The setting is beautiful. The rooms are very small but are clean and well kept. The dining room has a wide variety of food items at each meal. The cost of the room also has a Continental breakfast that is included,... More

Rooms are small, but nice. We had a room with a bathroom (recommended, especially if its cold.) The bathroom was furnished with a clawfoot tub, a small sink, and a toilet and worked fine. I've decided that I won't be combining the shower with a clawfoot tub in my own home as a result, but that's personal preference. The adjoining... More

Go back in time to cocktails on the Veranda, cheerful friendly service, small but clean rooms, and a beautiful setting. Now named Big Trees due to the ludricous suit by previous landlords, the Hotel is funky and fun and relaxed plus still in the park. Great for couples, families, and international visitors, it is a little treasure. The staff is... More

The Wawona is a charming Victorian era hotel south of Yosemite Valley -- quite a bit south. But not staying in the Valley was a big plus. Drinks on the veranda, beautiful setting. You do have to accept that you are staying at an historic property and may not have all the modern conveniences. If you must have TV and... More

This is a very pretty property with stunning meadow views and a large grounds for exploring. The mule deer come into the meadow in the evenings.

Not often you get to stay in a hotel like this. The original homestead from the 19th century in Yosemite comfortably refurbished. The restaurant is great and the staff are very friendly.

After visiting the Pioneer Yosemite History Center we had a very nice lunch in the Wawona Hotel restaurant. It is a historic and elegant hotel & definitely worth visiting.

AS you drive in the setting and buildings are impressive. Our room with en suite bathroom ( extra charge ) was small although nicely decorated and looked towards the back of the establishment towards other rooms. The swimming pool looked tired and not very welcoming. Breakfast in the dining room was fine as was a 'quick lunch' but our dinner... More
