Heather Farms is a wonderful park/nature preserve within a short commute for many who live in Contra Costa County. There are swimming pools, rose gardens, a lake to stroll around, picnic areas, a large dog park, baseball fields, biking trails, tennis courts, and quiet places to relax. And, don't forget children. There is a large area especially designed for them.... More

From swimming and tennis lessons to the kids park and multiple soccer and baseball fields, there are always a lot of family activities going on. Be sure to check the website before you plan your visit. The park has been under construction for a bit, but there are still plenty of open spaced to have a picnic and play catch. Last... More

Nice pools , adult lap pool , kiddie pool, diving pool , slide . The park is nice too if it's not too hot. Plenty of parking and an easy to get to location.

Visit the Gardens at Heather Farms for beautiful flowers and two nature ponds with fish, ducks, geese and other wildlife. A treat for all ages, with a top playground nearby.

This seems like a good local park that the general public use quite often. I've been here on several occasions and its a lovely park. The community also uses it to host events such as the Walnut Fest which is a annual carnival type event. There's a baseball field, rose garden, children's playground with a jungle gym, public bathrooms and... More

Having been to many dog parks in East Bay, we decided to try this one. Immediately I was turned off because the "lobby" area before entering the individual parks is for both the large dog and the small dog sections. A big German Shepherd was in the same section as my little dog. It gave me an uncomfortable feeling. Why... More

This park is so amazing. Very clean and offers variety range of activities. You can hike, bird watch, stroll in the beautiful garden, kids can play in the huge and nice playground.... The best part for us is, it's dog friendly. :)

Heather Farms has it all: gardens, playground, athletic fields, swimming pool, tennis courts, dog park, ponds, walking paths, etc. The best thing about it is that the community and city take great pride in the park and they take care of it. It is always so clean and well-kept. It is also the scene of many city festivals. Every city... More
