a geological abnormality. Perched above historical downtown Truckee with a birds eye view of the down and to the mountains eastward. Walk or drive to the tower, climb the steep steel stairs and be impressed. A great attraction for many reasons

It's unique and left over from a prehistoric glacier. Doesn't rock anymore though. You can see this from the highway and if your ready for a break go for it.

This is a monument located on the grounds of the old VEts' Hall on a hill overlooking Old Truckee. There's not much to see, wouldn't be worth the trip in my opinion.

We will definitely admit that this is a unique chunk of history, but it's really not terribly exciting. The stone stopped rocking some time ago, and now the entire base is surrounded by asphalt. If you have some time to kill, stop and check it...More
