Dear Sarah, I would like to say a huge thank you, on behalf of the boys and staff, to you all for a fantastic day on Tuesday? Rarely, have I seen the boys so mesmerised and interested in something for that length of time. Even their hunger was kept at bay all the way until 2pm, which is unheard of!... More

A fantastic, informative, friendly tour around Dungeness Power Station. The guide (Sarah) kept us amused with her witty sense of humour and knew her stuff! We thoroughly enjoyed the 90 minute free tour and would recommend it anyone even slightly interested in the unknown business of nuclear power. Thanks edf!

Our guide Bob and Sarah were great, and showed us around. Very inspirational place for children to visit, opportunity for students to think about apprenticeship. We also had a demo and visit from the special police force at the plant.

We took our 16 year old daughter on a cold and windy January afternoon to Dungeness B nuclear power station. After a 30 minute chance to study a display, models and interactive diagrams, and including a very short intro lecture on nuclear fission, gas (and sea water) boiler cooling, condensers, transformers, turbines and generators, we got kitted out in gloves,... Our guide Bob had worked there since the dawn of time and showed us around this amazing facility. Some serious science and engineering being done by great folks who are very happy to talk about potential dangers and mitigation. You get to see the whole process including people at work on top of the cores. Should be compulsory for anyone... More

A unique and very bizarre experience. Felt like I was a movie set of 28 days later. A huge beast of a building which is mostly devoid of any life at all except of the occasional person. very very bizarre.

Strange to get so close to such a beast. The bubbling overflow water was an eye raiser. Worth it for the strangeness.

I really knew nothing about Nuclear Power stations so this was an interesting tour. We had Bob as our tour guide who was so lovely and knowledgable. For a free attraction this is definitely worth a visit.
