Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Frank makes great wine. Small Productions top shelf. Frank knows how to take care of his vines and that combined with his wine making knowledge makes this the very best zinfandel the entire Paso Robles area has to offer. The zinfandel port is fabulous as well, so if you like Zinfandel, get over to Zin Alley. If you don't like zinfandel, this may be a turning point for you! Enjoy!!!!!

If you are a Zin lover than you NEED to visit Frank at ZinAlley Winery. He is the
Zin Master !! It was such a pleasure to visit with him... Frank is the Owner and Wine Maker. He knows his wine. All of us bought wine after our tasting. I loved his wines so much I purchased his Cellar Dreams at 94.00 without tasting it.
We can't wait to visit Frank again

Had a blast doing a wine tasting with the owner and wine maker. It was completely evident this guy loved making wine and couldn’t care less about how others fell he should be making wine.

Great wine. A must stop for Zin lovers everywhere.

This is a nice winery, and the wines taste great at the winery, but I recently opened up a wine I bought back in 2009, and it had turned. The wine was horrible tasting. I have a temperature and climate controlled professional wine cellar. I put the wine in a Reidel decanter and let it breathe for 3 hours. The wine just was not good at all.
If you want an age worthy Zinfandel, go to Turley.

These Zinfandels are the heart of Paso!
Frank is an authentic wine maker that reminds us of when we first started coming to Paso 20 years ago. While the bottles are on the higher end, they are worth every penny!
There is not one bottle that we turn our nose up at! These are rich bodied, fabulous fruit and made with the love of farming and winemaking. Frank has no problem telling us about his grape passions and what his harvest was like. We simply love hearing these stories and learning what inspires winemakers. These experiences are what make our visits so memorable. We always tell people about ZinAlley. We are finally writing a well overdue review!
ZinAlley is always on our list of favorites!

We found this winery as we were driving around doing some wine tasting in Paso Robles. This is a great small winery. The wine was just to our liking and so was the staff. We always enjoy talking to people when we stop for tasting and this place definitely offered a great discussion with the wine. I would definitely make this a regular stop in visiting Paso Robles.

Zin Alley is still the best Zinfandel for a thousand miles. Frank knows more about Zinfandel, how to grow it, how to tend the vines, and any other aspect of wine you can think of. As a Zinfandel wine encyclopedia he is world class. Get this man talking about the vines and the wine and it is mesmerizing and oh so charming. When friends come to town Zin Alley is a MUST. and time with Frank is the best. If you love big Zin, This is the place. For many this is the pinnacle of the tasting experience in Paso Robles.

My countless visit to this place was no less distinctive; Frank is a master of Zinfandel, who manages subtly and nuance with a usually bold, fruit forward varietal. His 2013 is a remarkable effort and should age beautifully considering how amazing his 2012 and 2011 are. Cellar these puppies or better yet, buy one to cellar and one to drink. His Narelli Syrah/Grenache blend is equally excellent and will probably only be around for a few more years as he's going to be concentrating on his Zins from now on. The After Hours Pinot Blanc dessert wine is liquid heaven, like honey and ambrosia in a glass. Be prepared to pop down $50 a bottle for these. WORTH EVERY PENNY.

Small winery. The vines never receive any water. The 5 wines were all great. All bottles cost $47.00. Loved the winemaker's attitude about his wines. Will return.
