Typical tourist town. Nothing to get excited about. If you have been to a few, you already know how this one is.

Decent tourist spot for a few hours. Not too many old buildings left but still fun. Nice shops and restaurants and no problem (today) parking.

Good place to visit during our stay at Pechanga Hotel and Casino. Old Town looks authentic, but still had the impression some marketing whiz had a lot to do with the look...lots of weathered wood. But, hey, it's part of the charm that draws lots of tourists. Plenty of speciality shops, wine bars and restaurants to satisfy strolling visitors.

We were staying in Pala but since there isn't much to do there we wandered into Temecula. The street is all free parking plus there is a couple parking lots as well that are free. Lots of quaint shops and various restaurants to choose from. We walked the street one day then returned the next day to go to Soro's... More

There's a wide choice of interesting shopping/dining options and parking is available for free in the downtown parking deck. It's easy to wander around the few blocks. Be sure to try Booboo’s sweet potato pie available at Nick's Knacks.

Old town Temecula is very nice. Many restaurants with all sorts of cuisine options. If you enjoy shopping they also have a few shops. The day I went (Saturday) they had a farmers market. Lots of goodies to taste and purchase for the ride back home. I saw the entire town in little over 4 hours. Yes!! I will return!!

On the way back from visiting the Anza Barrego Desert we stopped for a quick bite to eat and an opportunity to streatch our legs. Lots of interesting shops.
