Wonderful place to taste and buy cheese. The Dry Jack is fantastic and my favorite. Don't confuse this place with the Sonoma Cheese store right in the square. Vella is a cheese boutique that makes quality cheese. It is small and the people who work...More

A little off the beaten path but well worth the effort to find. Multiple cheese options to choose from. Goes great with the Bread you buy at the Basque Bakery on the square.

Wonderful small family owned cheese company. Cheeses made from goat and sheep milk. Many different cheeses to taste and take home, which of course we did!

Fabulous local cheese! It's worth the walk off the square. Get some Toma or aged Jack or Brie. I can't get enough cheese. Plus they let you taste whatever you are interested in purchasing. Go ahead..buy some great cheese.

We were welcomed immediately. Encouraged to sample anything we were interested in or unfamiliar with. Each type of cheese was explained while tasting. Small shop but good variety of cheeses. We came away with 4 different types of cheeses.

We travel to visit friens in Sonoma almost yearly. We have never missed a trip to Vella. We buy the award winning hard cheeses to give to friends back in Savannah as hostess gifts. We'd put the aged Jack up against any Italian grated cheese.
