Came here to offer my husband the chance to indulge in his favorites with a zinfandel heavy tasting. We sprung for the outdoor seating because the view of the vineyards was really very pretty, and throughly enjoyed the wine selection. Our host even graciously poured...More

We had a lovely tasting on the hillside terrace. It was very hot, but the many umbrellas provided lots of shade for our visit. We were pleasantly surprised by the nice zin and our very friendly tasting guide. We were a bit apprehensive since this...More

We enjoyed a wine tasting at Ravenswood. We did not have a reservation but had no trouble getting in on a Wednesday afternoon. The staff was very helpful and the wine was tasty.

We visited and tried a tasting. I really liked the zins and the Barbera. They have a nice terrace with chairs and a good view to sit and enjoy your wine.

They have quite a selection of Zinfandels but I also loved the rose and the pickberry! We sat outside and had wonderful service. Beautiful patio and scenery.

We love this place. We first visited Ravenswood years ago when the road leading to the winery was an unpaved dirt road with off road parking. We returned recently during a wine country visit, and the original essence is still there. Ravenswood is unpretentious, laid...More

Two days should be good. Three wineries per day if you choose one area like Nappa or Sonoma.

The distance is walkable. Don't know if there are back roads, would not advise walking along roads taken by cars. The roads are narrow towards the end. It also depends on where your starting point in Sonoma is. I would... More
