Very nice winery. The tasting was complimentary because we are members of the Mondavi wine club. The wines are quite tasty, but the Moscato is EXTREMELY good. Of course being a huge Moscato fan, I'm picky. This Moscato is good enough that I'm about to...More

Didn't get to do the tour on this visit due to rain but the wine was great. The gentleman tending the wine counter was fun and made the trip worth it.

My wife and I enjoyed an hour tasting 5 wines from this Sonoma mainstay winery. $18 each bought us 5 different wines to taste fairly informally and time to chat with the young, knowledgeable host. It was fun to see the vineyards where the grapes...More

Got a break in the weather and did our tasting on the deck. Fabulous view. Very relaxing. Pourer was awesome. She magically appeared the moment we needed anything and otherwise left us alone to visit and enjoy. Oh, and the wines are the best.

One of our favourite wines - we had to visit on a recent trip to Sonoma/Napa. Mid week visit but there were still a number of visitors to the winery. Deja (as in Deja Vu) the dog greeted us and then Chris at the tasting...More

The best part of this place is the view outside. Not even the building themselves, the natural area that Mother Nature built, not the Ravenswood architect. This was on the list of stops to do because I've had the wine before, like most people, just...More

Ravenswood Winery was the only place on our itinerary in Napa/Sonoma where the experience was negative. In the comparatively small tasting room, all places at the counter were taken. That was not a problem in itself, we understand that a popular place may not be...More

This is the place to go for a perfect wine tasting experience. It's best to book a tour so you can see the vineyard and go to the barrel room. You'll be able to taste many different wines and some are only sold through the...More

This is the kind of experience that we were looking for during our visit to the Sonoma wine country. From the minute we walked in, we felt the good-natured pride that the staff feels for the winery and the wine. It actually was fairly late...More

We had a great time with the wine tasting with a group of friends at Ravenswood. Great wine and teachers. The winery is beautiful and secluded.

Two days should be good. Three wineries per day if you choose one area like Nappa or Sonoma.

The distance is walkable. Don't know if there are back roads, would not advise walking along roads taken by cars. The roads are narrow towards the end. It also depends on where your starting point in Sonoma is. I would... More
