Excellent tasting room. Excellent wines. Excellent employee. Plus if you stop at Solvang visitor's center you can pick up a business card for the winery and then taste "2 people for the price of one". Taste was a generous pour. $15 for 5 wines. Does not include the glass.

My wife and I are from Tucson, AZ and have been touring central coast wineries. We were very fortunate to find a gem of a tasting room at Carivintas Winery in Solvang. The atmosphere was very casual and inviting. The wines were great, especially the full bodied, dry red ones! No wimpy wines! Our host, Beth, was very personable, knowledgeable... More

We randomly walked into this winery and was very pleasantly surprised by the excellent wine they offered in their tasting. We didn’t end up purchasing a bottle but I think I regret not doing so. Two thumbs up. Highly recommend.

We visited on recommendation and were the only people in the tasting room so got highly personal service and a great chat with the laidback owner. The unusual rose is well worth a try and the tasting was great value for money as well as being informative.

Stopped in for a quick tasting and ended up staying for about 90 minutes. It was Tuesday and the town was quiet - there was plenty of room at the counter. This is a great place for enthusiasts of all levels. We are not experts, but had a nice chat with the winemaker and learned a bit about wine. The... More

We went to a couple of the fancy vineyards during the day and paid through the nose for four small pours and decent but overpriced wines. Then came back into Solvang and spent the rest of the afternoon at Carivintas. Didn't plan to stay all afternoon, just ended up that way. We were so comfortable in the laid back very... More

Want a wine tasting experience which is full of pleasant energy and great wine? Try this place. We met the owner, Fleet, and he was as knowledgable as he was generous. We will return and we bought a bottle of Syrah which is delicious. Highly recommend you stop in!

We were so impressed! Great atmosphere, friendly staff (Beth was great) and of course delicious wine! We did the tasting and enjoyed each selection. We were celebrating our engagement and had been to a couple other tasting rooms, however Carivintas was the best. We felt as if we were locals enjoying conversation and great wine with friends! Highly recommend!
