A worthwhile stop as this is one of the original California Missions and part of the Mission Trail. Located at the eastern end of Solvang it is an easy and quick stop to see where it all began in the early days of California.

Garden areas were nice, not sure about the recorded walking tour of the mission itself. Like most of these missions they kind of ignore the obvious that it was one of the means of making native american tribes more submissive to their wants and needs. This was done by using them for cheap labor while forcing them to give up... More

I found the Mission to be inspiring when one understands the history of the California Missions. It is an island on an oasis of the modern life and should provide a very soulful and restful visiting experience

I liked this Mission. The price is 5 dollar for an adult ticket. The 1st 3 rooms have an overhead recording to explain things in the rooms which is nice. The grounds were maintained.

The mission is a nice place and I would definitely recommend seeing it if you are in Solvang. I would not recommend making a trip to Solvang just to see the mission.

We went there for our Christmas mass and it was nice and warm mass. The church is simply beautifully and feel cozy due to its right size. Personally, I love the small chapel with Virgin Mary paintings from around the world s shrines. It was very impressive and great visit for us.
