Beautiful colors in water during late winter to spring. Nice rafting in summer. Redwoods park had great place to view it from.

Great places along this river to get out and explore- just awesome to stop walk the banks talk with the locals they know the best spots- try fishing here 2 small rainbows A great break for and hour

The South Fork Smith River country is wild, rugged, and deeply forested country. There are a few lightly populated rural spots, along with a few river access and camp sites. The prominent campsite, Big Flat, has no river access (it does have a chilly creek)....More

We hustled down this road to circle back up the Oregon Coast. Great road, heavily patrolled by the CHP revenuers though We had earlier camped right on the river at Jedediah Smith State Park. Huge trees, good showers, good river access. Loved it

Had two great days fishing for King Salmon on the Smith River. Fished with Ron DeNardi of Ron DeNardi Outfitters and guide Bret (Bretski) Barber. Caught Limits of keepers both days and several fished released to fight again. These two guides have fished and lived...More
