Great atmosphere-wines were just ok.
Sep. 2019
I gave Pax a "very good" rating because of MaryKate! She was awesome and very knowledgeable about their wines. We were not a big fan of the wines, but we enjoyed our visit.

Wines were disappointing
May 2019 • Couples
I honestly hate to leave a negative review, but after spending a week in Sonoma County, and enjoying so many great wines and wineries, we were dejected to find a winery that just didn't live up to its reputation. The wines were not particularly well-balanced or structured. Sadly, the service was a touch uneven as well.

Nice atmosphere

I wanted to give this a better review. My brother brought me here because he has come before and wanted to show me this neat up-and-coming area. Unfortunately the wines were not very good and the young lady that was assisting us didn’t seem like she really wanted to be there. After we were done we realized it was kind of close to closing time and they shut all the doors. So maybe that had something to do with it. Unfortunately I won’t be back.

Great atmosphere--more patio vibe than tasting room
Jul. 2017
Very interesting wines and a relaxing atmosphere for enjoying them. Vinyl collection a nice touch and the furnishings are comfortable. This is a nice change from the cash register vibe of most tasting rooms and thankfully, they keep the merch to a minimum.

Amazing time spent here. Fiancé and I split two flights. They were FABULOUS! Nicole was a fantastic. She new all about the wines and we enjoyed chatting with her. Very neat and "hip" wine bar. Loved the atmosphere.

Not a Tasting Room, but a Wine Bar
Aug. 2016 • Friends
Once you realize that this isn't a tasting room but a wine bar, then it wasn't that bad. But it needs to make that much clearer on its web site.

You can buy flights of wine, but they aren't comped if you buy wine, like most tasting rooms. We quickly adjusted our expectations and decided to get two flights to share.

The pourer was a little awkward in understanding that we actually wanted to taste the wine so mixed the reds and the whites. We finally got her understanding how to taste wine and she actually was quite knowledgable about their wines.

Our take on the wines was to pass on the whites. The Syrahs were particularly good. The Pinots were good but not exceptional. I did buy a bottle of Syrah which did hold up when I had it recently.

My suggestion would be to go there before dinner or at the end of your day trip for a glass, but don't go there expecting wine tasting.

One note is that there are other proper tasting rooms I the same complex. LaFolette wa worth a visit.
