I was driving through Sebastopol and the bicycle sculpture wight he flowers in the basket caught my eye. I turned around and took the road to the Burbank Experimental Farm. It is just a little ways of the hill, next tot he apartment complex. There was free parking and a self guided tour. The barn and the museum were not... More

Visited here last month during the Sonoma County farm trails weekend. I really enjoy learning about Luther Burbank and have visited his historic home and gardens in Santa Rosa. This farm is also nice although the home and gardens in Santa Rosa are more beautiful. I took a tour and the docents really make this place an enjoyable visit. Our... More

First of all don't go there with high expectations. Go with an open mind and with the idea that you will find a most relaxing spot to stroll around. It's a lovely spot close to a busy road and apartments but it seems so far removed from the hectic pace of life. Have lived in Sonoma County for over 40... More

We were rather disappointed as there was not much to see but it was free. Not much going on that day and the office was closed.

So interesting to know the history of a farmer that gave this community a name. Purchase samplings of the plants that thrived in this area.

So it was worth the drive through the apartments to get to the parking lot. Interesting walk and self-guided tour.

This was by far my favorite place. We loved it so much that we went back on our last day after purchasing a pint of organic vegan icecream at the local Community Market Grocery store (also highly reccomend!) and sat on a blanket overlooking the cemetary and watching squirrels play in the beautiful massive tall trees with bright yellow mustard... The gardens were nice and educational, a part of local history. Better potatoes and thornless blackberry.

I love this "go to" place for out of town guests. The staff is extremely knowledgeable and the grounds are breath taking....PLUS it's Luther Burbank after all!!!!
