Reading some of the reviews I would have thought otherwise but we had a great time with our grandchildren aged 6 & 4. Sure there were toys and interactive areas that weren't anything special but there were many areas that were fun and unique. BIG BLOCKS and building areas for one. Musical equipment throughout the area. Awesome outdoor play sculptures... More

We got a Groupon to here and decided to go on a Saturday. Since there driver from home is over an hour we reached only by 11 am and initially I thought that we might not have enough time to explore it all. But the timer we had was sufficient. Our toddler got busy right away and didn't even care... More

This is probably best for ages 2-10. There are different vintage buildings that house various activities. LOTS of kids running amok, so stay close to your toddlers. There are make believe vignettes, glass painting, clay modeling, outdoor play areas. The views are worthy (its a scene from Star Trek, even) Plan to stay at least 3 hrs. Parking was free.... More

This is a sheep shearing operation for parents who don't have the imagination to find a local playground and who want to pay a high admission price for not very much. Take a walk on the nearby beach, it's free and has a great view.

While we didn't visit the museum, we found the area to be a great place to view the Golden Gate Bridge from down below and capture some fun photographs of bridge and view looking back towards San Francisco. There are lots of areas to walk and see the bridge from below, see the marinas and dog park folks.

Not a lot of educational activities as I expected however, my little one enjoyed it and I guess that's what really matters. I wouldn't bring my kids to this museum very often as the activities available are limited for toddlers.

We stayed at Cavallo Point Lodge for a week and this is on campus with the Lodge. We bought 6 tickets from Groupon and got in for under $45. I have 3 children ages 7,4 and 2 and they all really loved this place. I took the 2 year old in to the Tot Spot area (only 3 and under... More

Our family has a membership here (budget families should see their website for details on the discounted Family Access Membership) and we usually visit the museum about once a month. Our 16 month old loves walking around and exploring. Every time we've gone, we've discovered something new. The Tot Spot is meant for younger toddlers, but there are almost always... More

To me (a museum enthusiast), it is more like a learning center than a museum. I took my almost-one-year-old baby there last June. There is a designated area for babies and tots. I was not too impressed by the infant play rooms. They actually stank. The garden and water feature outside are not bad, but they are more appropriate for... More

This was an absolutely perfect place to bring my toddler while on our vacation to San Francisco. The setting was spectacular (right at the base of the golden gate bridge and with a view of the water) and there was so much to do for kids! Playgrounds, painting, places to run around, musical instruments to play with, etc. They literally... More
