Quiet nights, wake up to the sound of birds, lazy days, wave to familiar friendly faces, walk your dog without a leash, that is the valley

Make sure you have some kind of GPS-based navigation and you'll have a good time in the SY Valley. Take lots of pictures of the beautiful rolling hills and stop in the many wineries along the way. Suggestion: Do the tour clock-wise starting in Solvang...More

So much to see and we just drove all over the valley. We love to drive with no time restrictions and go and enjoy the scenery. Met locals and they were very friendly and helpful.

The views make me think back to rolling hillsides, passing through Europe. Sure, it's California. So, it's no wonder we have something this wonderful, right in our own back yard. I especially like Happy Canyon Road.

Beautiful scenery, great drive, lots to look at. The road has lots of curves, not too good for the car sick person. Lots of great vineyards, as well as farms, and campgrounds. It was a very enjoyable day.
