Excellent olive oil, especially the flavored ones. You'll learn a lot about olive oil, their attention to quality, and their production process. Their flavored oils are a big surprise, because they contain only the infused flavor oils of whatever herb is used, so there's no pulp, particulate matter, etc. The lemon olive oil can be sprinkled onto your salad greens, with a bit of salt, for the best salad dressing; the jalapeño olive oil has a distinct pepper flavor but is not hot, very good for cooking savory items. I was intrigued by the difference between their spanish and italian olive oils, certainly more distinctive than what you would find in a grocery.
Watch out for their dogs, they are extremely adept at begging for the little bread cubes given for oil tasting. Now I wonder if the dogs noticeably increase their sales.
Then walk across the street to Brander Vineyards for a tasting. So convenient.

How can you not stop by when you’re greeted by the friendliest dogs?! The Olive Oil tastings were incredibly delicious. It was a spontaneous yet highly educational visit. The different choices to sample were outstanding. I highly recommend visiting Fred, Sharon and their adorable and friendly dogs.

We had lunch and it was pretty good. Been there several time and enjoy the food and shop. During the summer it can get hot but overall it’s a nice place to eat & shop.

We were taken here whilst on a wine tasting tour. It provided a timely break from the wine and lined our stomachs ready for more. The oil was delicious as well as the balsamic vinegar available. We made a small purchase but felt no obligation to do so. Sharon was friendly and we chatted about the corgi's and their letter from the Queen.

We were on a wine tasting tour when I asked about olives and our driver was kind enough to make a quick detour to Rancho Olivos. What a little gem! Not only did we buy their Italian Blend Estate Olive Oil, Meyer Lemon Olive Oil but Sage Blossom Honey and Balsamic Vinegar as well. We were greeted by 3 very friendly dogs who held down the fort till the owner came out to help us and have us try the different varieties of oils, honey & vinegars they had. If you are in the area it’s worth the stop!

The festival was a great way to experience the southern California small rural town cool by wandering around, sampling olive-related products, wine, listening to music, enjoying the sunshine and laid back atmosphere. The amazing thing is I'm now obsessed by getting more of the wonderful Rancho Olivos olive oils. The flavor infused oils like Meyer lemon and garlic are phenomenal and make such a great addition to any food (well, almost any food). I've tried other olive oils they are disappointing now that I have tried these artisanal oils. None even come close to what these grower can achieve. I'm seriously a fan!

What a delightful surprise when we found Rancho Olivos. The young girl (sorry I don't know her name) poured us about 6-8 different types of olive oil. She explained how the oil was pressed with the whatever they used to flavor it. The garlic pressed oil was so good I bought a bottle. This was the perfect change in a day filled with wine. Make the stop, you'll be glad you did.

A side trip from all the wine tasting, this little place has some tasty local olive oil. You can do a simple tasting and pick your favorite. Make a tasty gift or souvenir other than wine.

Our son & daughter suggested we call in to Rancho Olivos as they receive regular deliveries of olive oil from there. There was a wide range of oils available for tasting and we had no problem finding a couple of favourites, which we purchased as small gift bottles that we could easily pack for our flights back to the UK.
Our son is also a big fan of the honey that they sell here - the best he's ever tasted!
