Smack dab in the middle of Santa Rosa, you have access to miles and miles of trails for mtn biking, trail running, hiking, bird watching, nature photography, etc. There are trail maps posted in various locations, but one can easily be found and printed with...More

living with a park ranger has benefits...... Hanna was working at Annabel as a junior park ranger while she was going to SR JC. I took her to 'work' one day and found the park. Nice trails around the lake. Avoid going in the cooling...More

This is a wonderful hiking and biking trail about 10 minutes from downtown. For the visitor it is challenging as the map is pointless (can no one make a map that is clearer?) but go with someone from the area and they will show you....More

With sooooooo many trail optoins it's hard to know this entire park by heart! I am an avid mtn biker and hiker, as are my kids, and I just can't say enough about this beautiful park. It is huge, it has variety (shaded trails, single...More

I have spent hundreds of hours and miles running the many beautiful trails on Annadel. The terrain can be as mild or as challenging as you want to make it and it is quite easy to put together a 15 or 20 mile route without...More

Whether you are on outdoors person or not, this place is good for all.. There are different trails that circle the lakes and or dam.... Fishing spots that are relaxing and not packed with others... Or even for photography... Great backdrops..

Annadel is well-known by locals, but most visiting town don't think of stopping by. It is my favorite part of Santa Rosa and offers more than 30 miles of trails for running, mountain biking, horseback riding, and hiking. There are flat areas as well as...More

This is a really nice hike. I wouldn't recommend it for young kids (5 and under), this biggest reason being that the mountain bikers were fairly rude. Out of the dozen or so that practically ran us over, only one announced their impending arrival.

My daughter went to SSU and has spoken of AnnaDel State Park for years. I was finally able to visit. Think a blend of covered, tree lined trails and then open, Live Oak spaces. We hit the Lake and the dam and loved it, though...More

Great place to walk, hike, bike ride, horseback ride. Going down Channel drive you walk on paved road that goes from Spring Lake to Oakmont through Wild Oak. The paths up the mountains are great for the mountain bikers, runners, hikers and horses. A 5,000...More
