Great afternoon looking at art
Mar. 2020
We've been to Bergamot Station a number of times, but not recently. We went yesterday to see a show of Ansel Adams prints at the Peter Fetterman Gallery. Wonderful. The old warehouse area houses a number of other galleries, and there are several restaurants within walking distance nearby. It's a stop on the Expo line with connecting buses. A very nice afternoon.

Galleries Galore!
Mar. 2019 • Couples
If you love art, this is a great place to go. It is literally behind the tracks of the train station so a little hard to find. Luckily we spotted it quickly but upon leaving noticed a woman pacing up and down who finally asked us if we could direct her to the galleries and she was truly 50 feet away within easy sight. But you have to look behind the tracks. Anyway, some 20 or so galleries with art raging from old masters to very avant-garde. Something for everyone who loves art.

Needs some love

I respect this place is under construction but I was not welcoming whatsoever. More signage and colour would do a world of good.

I was actually really enjoying checking out the variety of art work in the different galleries until an employee walked up to me and started demanding why I was there and where I worked. I asked why and he stated ‘because I asked’. Waaayyyyyyy below standard customer service sadly it put a damper on my visit as some of the other staff were very friendly and informative.

A few galleries with some interesting work plus a couple of cool shops and a cafeteria. Not the most interesting place.

Few Galleries!
Dec. 2017 • Couples
When we travel we enjoy visiting art galleries and museums. We were excited by the idea that there would be a Large number of small galleries all in one location! However, once we began exploring the various buildings, we found most of the galleries closed or undergoing remodeling. The few galleries we saw were very different in the media presented, so they would appeal to varying tastes in art. Some we enjoyed immensely! Some were okay, and some did not appeal to us at all.

many galleries to see
Dec. 2017 • Couples
this area formerly had the santa monica contemporary art museum, now moved to the center of LA. the large number of surrounding galleries remain. the area is at the Bergamot station on the light rail, so it has tremendous access, and there is good parking. given the terrible congestion of LA traffic these days, I recommend using Olympic Blvd for auto access.

the range of art for view is wide. it is a quiet area, and you can take time to see contemporary art up close and in a nice setting. I regard this area as a bit of a "sleeper" in that people interested in art will visit here, but it is easily missed.

Always interesting art galleries

We try to visit Bergamot whenever we are in town. The galleries always have good things to see, and sometimes they are wonderful. This time, several of the galleries were participating in Pacific Standard Time. There are some excellent photography galleries. Free and easy parking. You need to spend 2-3 hours if you want to see all the galleries. Go and enjoy.

Bergamot Station is a great place to see some amazing art! It was easy to park. The complex is a good size for a couple of hours of browsing. There is a nice gift shop and a small cafe with an outdoor eating area.

If in the area worth checking out
May 2017
It is several buildings clustered together with a common parking lot that houses galleries and auction houses. Many were closed or did not have an exhibit up. We didn't see anything astounding or that different but it was just enough to show young son different styles and methods of art and it was free. We had difficulty telling where it was exactly - found entrance by chance. FYI Warhol museum is in same location but you wil have to check schedule in advance for visitation opportunities.

All the art galleries in Bergamot Station are close to each other. That gives the opportunity to see everyting going on in two hours.
