This lush, 25-acre park overlooking the Pacific is a wonderful place for walkers, bikers and people watchers, and connects with the broad Santa Monica beach made famous in TV's "Baywatch" episodes.

Full of down and outs. It's just a walk a long the cliff edge overlooking the beach. Nothing that special

We took this path on a daily basis on our recent stay in Santa Monica. We always felt safe and loved the view out over the ocean. We had a picnic in the park one of our days and it was glorious in the sunshine. There is many homeless people.

This is a nice park to walk around and they have numerous benches so you can sit and rest and watch the people walk by. They have the area landscaped with flowers and shrubs, I enjoyed sitting by the main road and watching the people and some expensive cards go by.

This park is unique and known for its gorgeous Pacific Ocean clifftop views that stretch for miles atop his long stretch of tree infused, grass and walking paths. There is plenty of shade underneath massive trees, and if you are lucky, you may find a spot on one the few sitting benches that overlook the expansive white sandy beaches below.

Walking along the park, stopping to sit on a bench or looking at the ocean are all great ways to spend an afternoon or morning here. Watching the sunset is a most beautiful experience here, especially since you can also see Malibu and the mountains.

I love strolling along the park. It's nice. There are quite a few homeless these days and at night the rats are insane. They are scattering everywhere! I had never seen a rat before visiting Santa Monica. I have now seen my fair share. I wish they could do something about that.

Well kept beautiful park, spectacular views, places to sit, plenty of public restrooms and water fountains. Beach access via stairs (many steps - some steep and bridges over Pacific Coast Highway. Many people walking, running, walking dogs or just taking in the view. Great for sunsets. Often you can see dolphins breaching the surface of the water and I'm told... More

Staying in Santa Monica

Neighbourhood Profile
Santa Monica
Santa Monica is a coastal town that maintains a balance as a tourist destination and as an area with a thriving local culture. On the beach, bikers, roller-bladers, runners and walkers move along the famed bike path enjoying the beautiful Los Angeles weather. The solar-powered Ferris wheel at the Santa Monica pier spins high above the water, while park revelers scream with delight riding the roller coaster. Inland from the beach, Third Street Promenade bustles with shoppers and street performers, where every block seems to have a musical or acrobatic act drawing crowds giving Santa Monica both the feeling of a laid-back beach town and a major commercial hub.
