twin lakes beach is great to have a bonfire at in the evening and picnic at- I like to flyn my kites there. it's usually hard to find a parking place- but worth the effort to go and be at.

This is a pleasant stretch of beach adjacent to East Cliff, big enough to accommodate lots of visitors on a sunny day. There appears to be a fair amount of surf for surfers, plus stretches where swimmers can safely swim between buoys. It's pretty clean,...More

Twin Lakes is a smaller beach area, adjacent to the Santa Cruz Harbor. Currently, they are building a boardwalk and trying to improve parking. Not sure when it will re-open.

Local hangout on the beach not tending to be crowded or touristy. Just a good spot to hang out and chill out.

We went to Twin Lakes State Beach. Its a pretty park by the Paciic Ocean. In the evening, people were having camp fires. Everyone seems to have a good time here.
