Hanging out at Pleasure Point, you just get the vibe that "Life's a beach", whether you're up top watching the surfers, chillin' on the beach, in the water, or ambling along East Cliff. Carve out time to be here... any time of day.

My husband and I came to Pleasure Point Beach on our last day visiting Santa Cruz! We enjoyed walking along the long concrete walkway that hugs the cliffs overlooking the beach and Pacific Ocean. It was fun to see the surfers and paddle boarders out...More

We snuck over to this area breakfast at The Point Market and watched the surfers. The kids were amazed, even with not much surf. It's a very walkable neighborhood with street parking.

Family vibe, true community, home of the late Jack O'neil. Spend an hour or a lifetime here. There is a timeless quality to this place.

Great walking path with amazing views of the various point breaks along the cliff. If you surf, you know! An absolute iconic break(s) with incredible views of the bay and Santa Cruz valley.

Pleasure Point is quite unique. Stroll along the cliff edge and plop yourself on a bench to view surfers and sunbathers below. The erosion-protecting seawall which was constructed several years ago blends into the environment in what is some of the most rapidly eroding coastline...More

Moran Lake and Pebble Beach were a short walk from our rental home, and walked down there with our grandson every say. A surfer and dog walking paradise, lots of sand for pail and stone collecting...and a generally wonderful place to walk, watch the tide...More

Wide sidewalks and gorgeous views of waves (and surfers) make this a great walking spot, but not a good beach; those are accessible at low tide only.

We arrived as the sun set. Somehow, on Monterey Bay, the sun rises and sets over the water, or nearly so. Surfers were catching moderate waves, little dogs were walking their humans, runners were running and the water, sunlight, breeze, wild flowers made this the...More

Not really, better to go to Natural Bridges beach at the North end of Santa Cruz (along West Cliff) and at the North side of the beach for good tide pools. Natural Bridges btw is also of course where the migrating Monarch... More
