Walking around the park taking in all the beautiful (and different) flora (I'm from the east coast) we were surprised by the presence of (and he wasn't shy) a lovely 8 point buck. The arboretum is wonderful; they also have a small but comprehensive gift...More

What a lovely, peaceful respite from ... everything around it. A nicely-done map guides you from country to country to experience gorgeous, sometimes bizarre, native plants. Worth the trip if you like arboretums and gardens. We were there in the winter, but still lots to see and nice walking paths. The aroma garden took my breath away when we walked past it - wonderful smells! $5 entrance fee/person.
