We visited here during our PCH travels from LA to SF. We were not disappointed! Facility is a smaller university research center where cheery volunteers/students are eager to help our young ones experience the center's marine life! Interactive 'search and win prize activity' had our...More

Small, well-curated and well-made interpretative center for local Monterey Bay marine life. Two large whale skeletons outside and a path to walk along the cliffs make this a free visit if you don't have money to pay to enter. Great views.

My wife, a friend and I stopped here when we had some spare time in Santa Cruz. We enjoyed the displays and the opportunity to touch the denticles of a shark and be "eaten" by a sea anemone. It's well worth a couple of hours.

Lots of interactive stuff kids can touch. Cool tanks, whale skeletons are neat. Knowledgeable docent but it is going g to be so much better when the research tanks are reopened

Seymour center is beautifully located on the edge of Santa Cruz town by the cliffs. Volunteers are very knowledgeable and the tide pool experience was way better than Cal Academy or Sea World in terms of learning and variety. A walk by the cliffs by...More

Hi, the Blue Whale skeleton is 87 feet long. It's one of only 4 Blue Whale skeletons on display in North America.
