This beach is the best known and lies in front of the Boardwalk amusement park, and so is also the most crowded in the region. Pluses: Convenient to the Boardwalk and nearby restaurants and hotels; volleyball courts (and occasional tournaments); often sunnier and with gentler...More

The beach located next to the boardwalk and is a clean, comfortable beach. While the water is always cold, the beach is inviting.

Fun beach, my boys joined a volleyball game, lovely views and access to the pier where sea lions were lounging, nice beach!

Parking is reasonable at $10/day. It's very busy no matter the day, so be prepared. Cool shopping with unique gift items. On Mon and Tuesday board walk rides and food are cheap! Rides are fun. Waves are ok, but cold water usually, so be prepared.

I live right above the boardwalk and usually take a blanket down in the morning and set up on the sand right outside of the limit ropes as do many locals or you can wait until 4:30 and go into the concert area to set up... More
