Nice public course

Beautiful course, friendly reception, a bit crowdy at times, beautiful trees and neture. Not very good indication of the holes, easy to play the wrong holes.

On a recent trip to Santa Barbara to visit grandkids we decided to play this course, Checked GolfNow for pricing and it showed $35 for 18 holes. Reasonable to me. Get there, get charged $34 for 9 holes. The golf course is in OK condition but the rough was 6in high in places making for slow play. I personally will... More

Wow, what a great track. The layout is very good with some interesting elevation changes. Condition of this course in Aug 2015 is superb considering the current drought. Fairways are fully grassed and every lie is spot on. Greens are excellent. Mostly Poa I think but 13 and 14 are Bermuda. All receptive and run true. It's in great nick.... More

On a beautiful sunny day, there is nothing like a round of golf at the Santa Barbara Golf Club. While visiting my daughter, my son and I spent the early morning at the golf club. The course itself is challenging but not a back breaker. If you like a short course, this is not the one to play. The course... More

This course is in really good shape for a "municipal" venue, even during Santa Barbara's drought (at the time of this writing). Great prices, too. It generally attracts less-than-scratch golfers, so sometimes the pace of play is a bit slow (thus the four stars), but the roving marshals help push 'em along. Attached restaurant ("Mulligan's") is a GREAT place for... More

Nice place to golf, although right now due to drought, the fairways are quite dry. You can rent clubs for a reasonable price, and they were in great shape. Nice restaurant on premisies. Interesting Sunday buffett...a mix of waffles with a mexican flair!

Arrived without booking 2 days in a row and managed to get straight on without a fuss. Course was in great condition, greens were true, fairways well looked after. Farirways are generous and there is little rough on most holes to get you in to trouble. Lucky enough to ace the 13th (par 3) on the first round and the... More

We had a fantastic golf pro that worked with our three boys. His name was Richard Chavez...He did a great job. Patient and knowledgeable. He watched each boy swing, talked to them each individually and corrected each son based on what they needed. He was incredibly encouraging. I highly recommend taking lessons...my boys are 11, 13 and 15....all three of... More

About average for a municipal course and the locals we played with were very nice and fun too play with.
