A lovely stroll along the pier which cars can also drive onto and park. Plenty to eat and places to stop to take photographs of the wonderful bay. Watch the pelicans bobbing in the water alongside surfers and a tour bus! There is a special...More

Wharf is difficult to walk on due to uneven boards, auto traffic and amount of people so beware. Shops are over-priced. I would recommend going over to the wharf by the commercial boats, shops there are better as are the restaurants. It is fun to...More

Looking for a dinner spot. Walked out checking the restaurants. Lots to choose from. Also ice cream and a souvenir shop. Info plaques along the way. Nice views both out on water and back at SB

As tourists from Europe, we went down to the waterfront to watch the Americans celebrate 4th of July. The streets were crowded with people, but it was a really good atmosphere. We were standing out on the pier of Steans Wharf, watching the firework. It...More

This wharf is quite a tourist attraction, since it is at the end of State Street (main street in downtown), and you can drive your car on it. There are restaurants, stores, and an aquarium located there, and it has a nice view from the...More

I had no idea that Stearns Pier is the oldest pier in California. I so reminds me the Santa Cruz pier, I grew up going to Santa Cruz a lot! It brought back great memories, the gift shops were pretty cool, but the pier itself...More

It's a scenic walk down the pier. During the week it's not very crowded. The weekend there is a lot to see. I love the candy store and always get butter toffee peanuts:)

A walk on Stearns Wharf is nice. If it is windy bring a light sweater it can be chilly. Perfect for a pre dinner stroll.

Several gift shops and restaurants. Park and walk out as that is 1/2 the fun. Nice to look back at Santa Barbara from the pier. Good to see if you are visiting the area.

We walked along this wharf on a beautiful and sunny day, and was quite amazed by the amount of vehicles parked on it. There are several places to pick up knick knacks, souvenirs and food. You can even get your palm read here!

This is my very first visit so I couldn't say if this is the one but there was none or very few vendors at the beginning of the board walk leading up the pier

I have seen pets on the pier, but there's no place for them to do their business so you'll want to see to that first! I'm not positive the souvenir shops would allow them, but there are outdoor cafes where they could join... More
