There's a few shops on the wharf and a half dozen or so restaurants. It's definitely a major attraction in the area and while it's different there wasn't much to it. I definitely recommend venturing on the wharf to experience it and dine but once...More

Walked the wharf three different times. Saw seals, dolphins, lots of birds. Lots of action and things to see! Had our grandkids with us ages 1 and 3. They had a great time!

We stay nearby on our trips thru Santa Barbara and always stroll along the wharf after the trip in from Palm Springs. I like the working wharf much better. We stroll over there for dinner at Brophy Brothers and enjoy watching the boats come in...More

It was under construction all around. The shops were super tacky souvenir type places. Nothing boutique or special or artesian. Waking out there was cool. The pier itself is neat. View was so so....there was a bunch of mess washed up on the beach &...More

I was surprised to see that cars drove onto the peer and were parked. A waste of space in my opinion. We saw people fishing and got some good photo opportunities. We also enjoyed some overpriced ice cream.

How much is it to fish? Do they have pole rental? Do you need a permit? We are traveling to town for a wedding and looking for something for the boys to do

There used to be "no fishing" signs which were not enforced. Now there are signs for designated fishing areas. I believe that there is no overhead casting. . .for the sake of fellow visitors, I imagine. There is a bait... More
