Just a beach with a pier, few people fishing. Free Parking available onsite. Walked the pier and relaxed a bit before our Castle tour. Nice and peaceful

We stopped for the rest rooms, but walked out on the Hearst Pier. This State Beach has a large, grassy picnic area.

Located just across the entry gate of Hearst Castle, it's a great place to unwind and just relax; people watching with the locals fishing at the pier or having picnics.
