This is a great place enjoyed not only by tourists by locals looking to just relax in the sun with their kiddos. Great ice cream! Yummy pies! Don't forget to grab some fruit to go. Halloween is definitely a big one here with all the pumpkins and hayrides.

Avila Valley Barn lived up to the rave reviews that our friends had shared with us. We knew the pies and and other pastries would be pricey, however we chose a few to try. Instead of spending $21 for a pie we opted for a couple turnovers, (less than $5 each), that were made from the same crust. We were... More

Always try to stop here when we visit the coast. Must eats are the roasted corn, strawberry shortcake and any sandwich on the menu. Then pick up a pie or pumpkin bread for the ride home. Fantastic to pick your own pumpkin during the season or just stop by and feed the animals. My kids have a great time on... More

Avila Barn is always our last stop before leaving the San Luis Obispo area. We pick up the freshest fruit and vegetables before leaving for home. Additionally their house-made muffins and pies are so delicious! We always take home some of their bakery goods too. The whole area is picture perfect. It's a lovely place to stop, easy access off... Had their pies, served in the evening at Avila La Fonda hotel last month. On our way to Santa Barbara, decided to swing by and check out the deli, which unfortunately is closed Tuesday/Wednesday, but oh darn, they just happened to have full and half size pies available, along with fresh breads and produce. Took an berry pie to go... More

This is a tourist stop for the thousands of tourists that visit Avila Beach. I has a collection of farm animals in pens that you can look at or even feed some of them. They offer fresh locally grown seasonal produce. There are hay wagon rides and they offer pumpkins in the fall and many locally produced jams, jellies, hot... More

Avila Valley barn has a little bit of everything-from riding on a hay wagon, picking seasonal fruit, feeding animals-great fun for young children! There is a shop with fresh fruit, frozen pies and gift items as well as an ice cream store. It is a bit pricey, but a memorable adventure.

There are many things to love about the Avila Valley Barn: the produce, the animals, the pony rides for kids, the baked goods, the food. I love the animals from the giant goat who will stand on its back legs to reach its neck over the fence to grab some corn husks to the adorable cows and sheep. They're all... More

My fiance and I stopped here on our way out of town after spending 4 fabulous days at Avila Village Inn. There was a nice area for all the kids to look at animals, but we were focused on the food! We ended up buying a fresh apple pie (which is probably one of the best apple pies I have... More
