Plenty of Japanese restaurants to chose from, first time I have eaten Japanese, I had a set menu, salmon, chicken, California roll, rice, veg and a beer all for about $17, great taste and value

Such a disappointment. Like everyone has just lost interest. Even the stories on the benches leave you feeling depressed as anything that was once good here has gone. The only bright spot was Ron's Cafe - very nice!

In Japantown San Jose, CA. they have a wonderful selection of great restaurants to chose from. Gambi's is one of the best ones there and it is not real expensive to eat there.

I'm not sure if I missed something, but Japantown seemed to be mostly restaurants. Some of the buildings had Japanese elements, but there wasn't much in the way of Japanese architecture. Food was good--we ate here for lunch and dinner on our trip.

While only a few blocks long, Japantown boasts some very authentic Japanese Restaurants, Buddhist culture and interesting stores including a bakery for dogs!

This is one of the few remaining Japantown areas remaining in the U.S. All of the many restaurants offer excellent authentic Japanese cuisine, and the various businesses employ courteous staffs with expertise on their specialty products. As a place for seasonal festivals and celebrations, a...More

Not a ton of stuff here, but really good restaurants, a few shops and usually plenty of free parking. Good for a nice afternoon stroll for lunch and a little shopping.
