The trail is a 5 star. I dock points for crowded conditions. Everyone is vying for space, strollers, joggers, bicyclists of all levels, toddlers, hikers of all ages. It does not mix well. Parents allow kids to walk into bikes. Groups hog the entire width and refuse to move to one side. Strollers stop and block passage. Joggers and bikers... More

The Los Gatos Creek Trail is a deservedly popular trail year round. From Los Gatos you can head either south toward Vasona Lake Park and Campbell -- or go south toward Lexington Dam. I usually go south -- it is less crowded and you are on dirt most of the way as opposed to the pavement and/or asphalt of the... More

This trail follows the Los Gatos Creek for a gently uphill stroll/run/skate/dog walk--whatever your choice of walk

This is my way to Los Gatos from almost anywhere by bike. It is very popular for walking, running, skating, biking. Sometimes it is too popular and hence crowded. It leads to the dam and parks south of Los Gatos.

It is great that there is a paved trail close to the resident or downtown area. The trail is also great for family.

OVERALL: Relatively flat, well populated, paved trail spanning from Willow Glen to Downtown Los Gatos (not including unpaved from Downtown LG to Lexington Reservoir). Two end points on the paved path are nice spots to grab a coffee & snack. Gradual ascent from San Jose's Willow Glen through Campbell and into Los Gatos' Vasona Park is a great run/bike for... More

This is my go to trail I go to whenever I have time, and need mental and physical space. I use the part from Main Street, Los Gatos up to Lexington, but there are a lot of other trails associated with this system. (Have also ridden the bike trail through Vasona, etc.) It can get busy on weekends, so aim... More

My running club trains here during the summer months. 10 mile trail passed Vasona Lake to Lexington Res. Mostly paved except the last 2.5 miles. Many inlets into the trail all along the 10 miles.

Wonderful accessible trail for all ages and abilities. Great seasonal viewing of wood ducks paddling in a gushing creek among rust and amber colored trees. Good off leash dog park setup. Runners, bike riders and dog walkers love this place that runs nearly 10 miles to Lexington reservoir.
