A must see when you come to San Jose

This was a great tour on my trip to San Jose. The guides are very entertaining. It does get hot inside so you may want to plan to go on a day when it isn't as warm out. There is a... read more

Took the regular tour with my husband. This tour could be so much better-less theatrics & more info. When I questioned the guide about certain facts she admitted that their "knowledge" of the Winchester heir was just a guess. Most of what they are telling you is for the drama of it. Yes the house is quirky but it's not... More

Would n't recommend this to any traveller. This is at best, a way to kill 2 hours or so if you are in San Jose. There is some interesting history about the lady who constructed the house and all, but dont expect anything spooky about it. I was incidentally there around christmas, so the atmosphere was a bit more festive.... More

This was a great tour on my trip to San Jose. The guides are very entertaining. It does get hot inside so you may want to plan to go on a day when it isn't as warm out. There is a lot of walking and odd shaped stairs - something to consider. The gift shop has several interesting items to... More

Stopped off here enroute to Santa Maria. Had read a bit about the house prior to visiting and was interested to visit. While the tour was a bit pricey it was interesting to learn of the history and see the quirkiness of the buildings. The tour guide was knowledgable and entertaining but should wait until the entire group has assembled... More

We found the tour very informative and interesting. We loved learning the history of Sara Winchester. My 11 year old can retell the tour very well so kudos to our guide who made her listen!! We would recommend this site to any of my friends traveling in the area!

Interesting place to visit but thought the tours were kind of pricey. We took the grand and behind the scenes tours. Both were interesting and we were able to see a lot. Liked the behind the scenes tour because we were able to go in the basement and into some of the other buildings. If you have the time and... More

I had been in the home during my late teens, and through the years I have been reluctant to spend the money to take my family when we are visiting in the area. I recalled the premise of the story behind the home being kind of creepy, and thus my reluctance to return. The oddity of Sarah was really played... More

Happened upon the Winchester House while looking for something to do with one day in San Jose. I am so glad that I did!!! Such an interesting back story and tour of this home. Worth every penny of the admission price. Our tour guide Tristan was awesome and lively making the tour breeze by. I am so excited for the... More

Very unique and interesting to tour this amazing and weird home. Tours do sell out, especially over Christmas so buy your tickets in advance. We were late, so we had to wait for a later tour but they accommodated us. There is about a half mile of walking and many stairs but very worth the effort. My 80 year old... More
