In the early 1850s, Louis Pellier, a San Jose orchardist, successfully bring-in prune from France, a great boom on fruit industry for Santa Clara valley. I only see a statue for this, not aware of this is a "historical park".

I suspect it's rather a joke that someone put Pellier Park on the map. It's a collection of heritage fruit trees that were preserved--that's the good part--but were shuttled around by the city until they landed in a strip of land where two major arteries...More
