This is a first rate comedy club right there in downtown San Jose. The pluses are that they get first rate comics at pretty reasonable ticket prices. And the seating is excellent wherever you sit. If you are not up close downstairs, the balcony affords excellent sight lines from anywhere. The negatives are that there is a two item minimum... More

The host, warm up act and headliner were all terrible. The food was mediocre while the service was pretty good as well as the seating and venue. Too bad the comics were a bust.

First, you can either purchase VIP seating or get a seat first come first serve. The night I was there, the VIP seats were, of course, the best in the house, and the VIPs were able to meet/greet the comedian backstage. For others, the doors open at 6:30 and first come first serve. Note: If you buy a ticket on... More

Love this place. Always a great seat and bar food is pretty good. Only downside are the puny- I mean PUNY- wine glasses. 3OZ? Max price at $$$ premium price tag. If you don't buy food you need to buy two drinks- per person. This club has a legacy of great comedians like Jay Leno and usually it is not... More

We went to Improv on an odd Thursday night and had a great time. Lots of locals visit here as well and that is reflected in the presenter lineup. The venue itself is beautiful, Minskoff-like and even intimate. Restaurant and drink service inside is friendly and prices are what could be expected from a similar club. Do recommend whenever there... More

Good place to go for a a night out in downtown San Jose. Overall service and atmosphere is good. Make sure to pick a good performer though as that's what ultimately makes or breaks the fun!

Always funny comics! I get lots of free tickets just by being a registered user on their website, they send me free tix almost every week! There is a required purchase of 2 items (food is not the best, and over priced and drinks are expensive, but they are good!) So be preparred to spend $30 to $40 per person... More

Last time I came to Improv, was when Jeff Dunham. And that was a great show. This time, it was to see Rob Schneider. I had a great time. Both comedians before him were funny also. This Australian guy was funny and even showed some actual human traits on stage: embarrassment. Which always is good. We, as audiences, see the... More

We went to the San Jose Improv with a group of friends to see Aries Spears. We had VIP service and the event coordinator was extremely helpful and courteous. While waiting in line outside, she came searching for our group and really took care of us. This was the first time to the Improv, and I will be back. Our... More

Spend the few dollars more to get the VIP tickets...it is worth not having to wait in line. However, all seats have a great view of the stage (the place is not that large). Odd smell when you walk in. We did not try the food, but others around us did not complain about what they ordered. Wait staff is... More
