On our way here, we realized we forgot to bring towels for the kiddos. Was hoping they carry a few but none. Ended up getting a blanket ($42) to use as a towel. Didn’t have time to shop but saw they had a large collection...More

This old country store still has a great ambiance with live bands, clothing, thought provoking books, cards and gifts. It has lots of snacks, a bar, and healthy drinks, but no meals available. It's one mile from the beach and a good place to warm...More

From the wood burning stove, the cowboy hats, the kids' readers, to camping pots and pans, this place has the feel of the old West. The bar has carved brands of nearby ranches (I assume), and the bartender makes a mean bloody mary according to...More

Loved this little out of the way, anachronism... a truly wonderful spot with a cafe, bar and gift shop on a corner by itself a few miles inland from the ocean.Live music on Sundays and I think other times too.

Great store to stop in a scenic drive, bike ride or outing. Bar, groceries, snacks, drinks, books, clothing, ceramics, gifts and various items that you can browse leisurely. Fun, funky place to check out especially if there's live music playing.

This is the coolest and most eclectic place, off of Highway 1 on 84. It is best to go on weekends when they have different bands playing. You can checkout their website for listings and times. We have enjoyed some very good local bands here....More

Ok, so if your taking your Sunday drive down coastal Rt 1 south about 10 miles south of Half Moon Bay take a left onto Stage Coach Road, nice little windy back road that goes right to the Old General Store. This is going back...More

We've stopped here many times over the years & recommended it to others as a fun, different sort of browsing/shopping experience. Lots of weird, interesting stuff ~ from books & cards to clothing & toys & soaps & oddities. Some food & drinks available too....More
