A great place to have a nice picnic with lovely food from their deli. Also a nice selection of wines. All you need is a nice sunny day.

This was a nice, but very busy winery. They had wine tastings you could purchase as well as full bottles of wine. They also had an outside grill area with burgers and pizza. No vegan options on the grill, but I believe they had some salads inside. They grill was crazy busy with a huge line! seating was outdoors with... More

I actually happened to visit V. Sattui five years before and became fond of the idea of a combined picnic area, well made sandwiches, and (obviously) wine. Unfortunately, I didn't have time to stay to enjoy these activites at that time, but recently (Nov '16) I had the opportunity to repair things while visiting with some friends - and the... More

Do yourself a favor and visit this place if you get a chance. If you like big reds-- avoid the main tasting room and head straight for the reserve tasting room. Here you can try some very good small production Cabernet, Zinfandel, and other off-varietal stuff.

I can see how this is the most visited winery in California. Just to walk around the store and shop is pretty amazing. But then when you add the great deli for a delicious lunch and some of the decent wines and the beautiful outside grounds, it turned into a beautiful relaxing lunch. Very friendly staff helped with picking out... More

This is the winery you want to go to around lunch time. Their deli is great, they have sandwiches, lots of cheeses to choose from, salami, prosciutto, and a lot of other snacks. The wine is "ok". It's super busy because it's one of the few places with food, but that's great for people watching :-)

We went to the nice deli section in the winery and ordered some sandwiches for lunch. We had turkey with cranberry sauce and enjoyed them in the picnic area. We also did wine tasting,. Being a few days before Thanksgiving, the Christmas tree was up as well as other holiday decorations. They were also putting up the outside Christmas tree... More

We stopped here to have lunch while out visiting vineyards. The food was delicious!! There were a lot of places to relax and eat. We didn't do a tasting because it was so crowded, but the food was outstanding. The view was amazing.

Yes, yes many complain that this place is touristy and crowded, but it's my favorite for a few reasons. First, it's one of the only wineries with a really good deli, so it's a great place to stop for lunch to ensure you have food in you. Second, the pours are very generous (5-6 for $15) and many of the... More
