Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Two museums on site but other than that Old Sacramento is really a collection of shops/eating house wanting to sell you something. Very disappointing really- no need to spend a lot of time here

This is a magnificent site in the early morning sun. The gold color really shines bright. It is located in the Old Sacramento area, next to the docks with the Delta King and Joe's Crab Shack. Old Sacramento is a good place to while away a few hours walking around and visiting the Railroad Museum. Be sure to walk across the bridge before you go, gaze down into the Sacramento River.

If you are anyway walking to old town, walk by the bridge. But it is only a bridge and not even very long. So not sure why this even counts as an attraction.

We have wanted to do the tour for ages but it’s always been so busy. As it’s quieter at the moment we decided to take advantage. It was very good and informative and for just over £10.00 each absolutely worth it. Recommend.

This is very close to my house, drove over the bridge for many years yet never took a tour. I’m glad I did, it’s brilliant, amazing view of the river thanes and the city. So much hidden history. It’s worth it.

I walked across the bridge on my way to the ball park. Great views and the bridge is golden. I think we should call this bridge the Golden Gate bridge ;)

After you visit Old Town Sacramento, talk the 100 or so yards walk to the bridge to check out the structure and get in some views of the Capitol, the river and other buildings around the area, and hey, it's FREE!

I grew up in Sac and visit every couple of years. We often bring visitors with us and this is one of our stops.
It is by no means a must do, but it is a landmark in the area, and it is located between Old Sac and Sacramento Rivercat Stadium.
If you have the time, stick around for a bit and try to catch a glimpse, or a photo, of it being lifted for a large boat to pass under.
Take a few pictures, drive across it, and check it off your Sac to do list.
