We went there for a music festival and was pretty disappointed in venue. I went for a walk by the river and a fish hook pierced my sandal. Also there were some sketchy characters there. I would never go there as I would other parks.

Be aware that Discovery Park is under water. We tried to get close but the road and parking lot can't be reached. If you are planning to go there before the end of February, I would call ahead.

I have enjoyed two group barbeques in Discovery Park. It is a great area to work out in,play games,or ride a bike. I see it as a viable short cut when necesary.
