The last time we visited the Crocker, the new facility west of the Crocker Mansion was just a concept on paper. What a wonderful facility it is! The collection, along with the visiting exhibitions are a treasure. During our visit we spent about half of our visit seeing Peruvian and South American art that mirrored much of the European art... I thought this museum was fabulous. I have gone to it several times and each time there was at least one new exhibit. The staff is friendly and informative. The museum store housed quite a variety of items to buy.

Then it grew, and it grew and it grew.. Now it stands as a pretty modern building filled with some really fun and exciting... More

Interesting and diverse art collection and a fun museum shop but the Crocker home, which houses some of the collection is a stunner. Gotta love those stairways.

Yes, I cart museum is a museum, but it is also a place where people get together and have fun, listening to music, enjoying food, and watching beautiful art. My husband and I like to go to taco Tuesdays because it is great fun, with different bands every Tuesday night.

Great space, great exhibits and wonderful café. Full disclosure, I used to work here prior to the new addition. It was good then, but now it's really great. Be sure to visit when there are some of the Crocker's own collection of drawings on view - this is a truly world class collection - seldom seen. Also, visit the old... More

Would have liked to stay longer. Wow. Just an incredible place. Had lunch at the cafe downstairs first, then explored as many rooms as time permitted.

This is one of the most underrated or unknown places in town, while being my favorite, by far. I travel a lot and visit many museums, yet also live Sacramento. Many of our friends look to the Bay Area and LA for museum visits, bypassing this local regional gem, even without knowing. The museum more than tripled recently with the... More
